My students have different understandings about global citizenship. Yet there is a common theme of internationalism and multi culturalism.
In my own research, I am looking to better understand the citizenship part of the equation and ask whether that ways we define that term can be expanded.
Should we include other species in our society? Should they have equal access to decision making about the use of our planet and other decisions that directly affect them?
Some rivers (in Colombia, India, New Zealand) now have legal personality. It will be interesting to see how their voices will be heard.
